Direct Fastening Technology
What is Direct Fastening?
Direct fastening involves driving collated nails directly into concrete or other hard surfaces, such as steel, without the need for pre-drilling. This process is executed using power tools known as setting tools or concrete nailers. In the field of electrical installations, both gas-powered and battery-operated tools are commonly used.
Advantages of Direct Fastening:
- Cost Efficiency: Significant time savings reduce overall installation costs especially in large-scale projects
- Effortless Operation: Minimizes physical strain during installation.
- Dust Reduction: Prevents the creation of excessive dust
Don Quichotte Product Portfolio: Cable harness KKS
Dual Fastening Options: With its two mounting holes, the KKS supports both conventional fastening methods (using plugs and screws) as well as direct fastening with a setting tool.
- Compatibility: The design of the holder’s opening in combination with the tool nose is critical for ensuring compatibility with various brands of setting tools. The KKS has been designed for using with common brands such as Spit, Bosch or Fischer (Tool nose with outer-Ø of 11mm).
- Ease of Installation: The KKS allows for single-handed mounting on walls or ceilings, improving efficiency on-site. Additionally, the design enables size-independent combination of cable holders, enhancing flexibility during installation.
Cable Clip KKB DF
Optimized Geometry: Specifically designed for direct fastening, offering a high stick rate while ensuring no breakage of the clip during installation.
- Compatibility: The KKB has been designed for using with common brands such as Spit, Bosch or Fischer (Tool nose with outer-Ø of 11mm).
- Reliability: Guarantees secure fastening for various applications, tailored to meet the needs of modern electrical installations.
